Realism.
As we endeavor to create more realistic 3D models, an ongoing area of research is cloth simulation. We've been doing a lot of testing recently with animated fabrics to see if we can replicate the realism of a still in motion.
Bedding Simulation

To create a natural looking duvet on a mattress we used Marvelous designer to create a duvet with box-baffled compartments, like the real thing this was contained in a duvet cover before being simulated.
Cushion Simulation
Cushions.
Experimentation is also sometimes part of our learning process, here we used Marvelous designer to simulate falling cushions to explore how they interact with each other and the models.
Chair Spin Simulation
Rattan Chair.
Not all animation requires a simulation, here we've animated a Rattan chair to spin with realistic deceleration from a push.
