2023 - Two decades of innovation and excellence.
As we mark our 20th anniversary, we're reflecting on 2023 and our journey reaching this remarkable milestone. The past year has been a testament to our team's unwavering commitment to growth and quality in the fast-paced world of 3D content creation.
2023 has seen us clinching four prestigious awards for our ground-breaking interactive projects with many more nominations and commendations for our Onfigr platform, highlighting the excellence in our web development work. Over the summer we proudly unveiled a brand new Pikcells website, showcasing many new visualisers, configurators and of course outstanding CGI content.
So here's a glimpse into the highlights of 2023.
Visualisers & configurators.
We're truly proud of the remarkable CGI and 3D visualisers we've crafted in 2023, defining another year of creative excellence for Pikcells. In the realm of configurators, visualisers and bespoke software, we've ventured further into new territories, delivering bespoke experiences such as an augmented reality app for Marshalls, redefining property tours for Ask developments, and introducing an innovative resin flooring configurator for Torginol. Our Onfigr platform also saw enhancements with several 360° panoramic configurators completed in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom sectors.

CGI.
On the CGI front, we maintained our commitment to excellence, delivering standout projects for longstanding clients Uform, Wren, BA and Kronospan. As well as crafting exemplary visuals for some new clients in a wider range of industries, expanding our portfolio to new sectors.
Website revamp.
In summer, we unleashed a brand new website designed to make navigation simpler. Our site now boasts an wider array of client projects, dedicated sections for our services and specific industries and a refreshed gallery which proudly incorporates the R&D lab projects. Navigating is now a joy, with dedicated sections crafted for easy exploration of our CGI, visualisers & configurators and content creation.
This year we've witnessed a distinct rise in the popularity of our CGI flatlays, Cinemagraphs and 360 Product Spinners among our clients. We've taken a strategic step by dedicating specific sections on our revamped website to showcase the brilliance of these services.

Brimming with achievements.
2023 has seen Pikcells triumph clinching top honours at the W3 Awards and Communicator Awards for our online visualiser projects. These accolades received thousands of global entries, so winning these awards stands as a testament to our team's expertise, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence in 3D content creation.
Additionally, our Onfig platform received a Highly Commended nod for 'Design Technology Product of the Year' at the Designerati finals in November and we were finalists in the Prolific North Creative Awards for our immersive content.
Team trips.
The team spirit remained strong this year and while the traditional quarterly trips took a back seat, smaller events kept us connected. The standout event was the grand team trip to Lisbon in December, a fitting celebration for our 20th anniversary. Earlier in the year, some of the team soaked up the creative vibe at Wilsons Republic WR10 event, celebrating Huddersfield's creative community. And back in July, our development team enjoyed a social night out at the Prolific North Creative Awards in Manchester, adding another highlight to our memorable year.
Advancing Onfigr.
The last 12 months have seen our Onfigr platform become more established. In the final quarter we introduced Onfigr Stock Sets. These pre-loaded panoramic visualisers for bedrooms and kitchens come with 1000s of digital assets and textures, minimising the start-up costs for businesses and allowing them to swiftly integrate them on their existing websites. The intuitive content management system streamlines updates, records and manages customer designs and incorporates analytics, giving insights into popular products and design presets. Our expert interior design team have also curated a selection of on-trend design presets, making it simpler for customers to get started, empowering them to effortlessly create their own unique stylish space.
Mastering realism.
Following the success of our Realistic Rug tutorial in 2021, we unveiled a new tutorial this year showcasing the creation of a lifelike hanging towel using 3DSMax and Corona Renderer. The tutorial guides users through cloth simulation with Marvelous Designer, sculpting in Zbrush and texture manipulation with Substance 3D and Photoshop.
