Maison et objet 2016

Our designers, Tanya and Sandra, took a trip to Paris last month to visit the the major interior design event “Maison et Objet” on the lookout for new trends and products to use in our images.

Its a great time to be a designer with lots of textures, shapes and materials to choose from. The show had loads of deep bold colours, coppers and brass as well as matte surfaces in terracotta and black. Some other notable trends;

  • Slim line Structures
  • Black Marble
  • Neon Signs
  • 3D Textures
  • Hand Painted
  • Perforated
  • Organic Carvings
  • Material Mixes
  • Cluster Lighting
– Gubi Colour Palettes and beautiful upholstered furniture
– Swung lighting and stand. Dark colours mixed with danish furniture and really nice lighting
– Zuiver stand. Nice mix of woods and modern scandi objects
– Georges and Eugenie eclectic colour palettes mixed with modern furniture – quite similar to the dulux trends photography
– Ethnicraft. Really simple and rich colour pallette against all of their wood furniture.
